Solstice Films: Paris Screening schedule

Our Paris screening initiative was launched with the aim of creating an open, free, and borderless platform for local filmmakers and visual creators, fostering dialogue and the dissemination of art and imagery within an international context.

In today’s world, we are inundated by screens, with visual information overwhelming our senses. Yet, most of this imagery lacks substance and meaning. These images not only shape the way we perceive the world but also continuously consume our time and attention. At the same time, we observe a remarkable shift in the realm of contemporary art and the work of emerging filmmakers—image language is consistently transcending its traditional boundaries, and both content and form are increasingly aligned with the international context, offering unprecedented vitality and potential.

Through this screening program, we aim to provide filmmakers in Paris with an opportunity for direct, face-to-face exchange, while also offering a stage for more exceptional visual works to be showcased. We firmly believe that imagery should not be confined to a singular market or narrow classification. It holds the power to transcend language and culture. Moreover, the reflections and emotional resonance of the audience during the viewing process will ultimately feed back into the creative process itself, nourishing further insightful visual practices.

We hope this platform will become a space for an ongoing relationship between creators and audiences, and serve as a catalyst for the cross-border development of visual culture.
